Carriage Agreement Signed Between Hong Kong Cable and Creation TV 

(Hong Kong - 07 July 2002) Hong Kong Cable Television Limited (Hong Kong Cable) and The Media Evangelism Limited jointly announced today that Creation TV will be carried by Hong Kong Cable from December 2002 onwards. 

With "Life Education" as the underlying theme, Creation TV is going to telecast meaningful programmes that offer hope, encouragement and positive messages. Through the multi-channel platform of Hong Kong Cable, the aim of Creation TV is to flourish a healthy, caring community for Hong Kong.

Jointly hosted by Mr. Andrew Yuen, General Secretary of The Media Evangelism Limited and Mr. Samuel Tsang, Chief Operating Officer of Hong Kong Cable Enterprises Limited, the contract signing ceremony was held at the Tamar Site under the witness of Dr. Patrick Ho, JP and Mr. Darwin Chan, Chairman of Hong Kong Arts Development Council.

"Through the cooperation with Hong Kong Cable and a variety of high quality programmes, we want to deliver the importance of treasure life into Hong Kong families, that they can find both spiritual support and encouragement," the General Secretary of The Media Evangelism Limited, Mr Andrew Yuen said. 

"Knowing that viewers are looking for programmes with positive moral values, especially when many people in Hong Kong are now facing difficulties and pressure of all sorts, we feel the need to offer a friendly place for the benefit of our viewers. In view of this, Hong Kong Cable will join hand-in-hand with Creation TV, and together we are striving to offer programmes that promote positive values and strengthen the minds of Hong Kong people," said Mr. Samuel Tsang, Chief Operating Officer of Hong Kong Cable Enterprises Limited. 

One main feature of the event at Tamar Site was to promote the well-being of the society. With the participation of a troop of "Life Angels", who were there to demonstrate their respect for life and care for the society. Positive messages were disseminated through thousands of greeting cards posted by the angels at the Chinese Methodist Church in Wan Chai.
