CABLE TV LAUNCHES MONTH-LONG HALF PRICE PROMOTION

CABLE TV has announced a “Be My Valentine” promotion to its subscribers under a special subscriber referral offer. The promotion will last for one month, offering as much as 50% off the monthly subscription fee for existing subscribers.

Between now and February 14, subscribers will get a half price discount off the standard fee should they successfully recommend friends or relatives to become CABLE TV subscribers, who will also enjoy the same 50 per cent discount off the standard fee upon successful installation. The dual benefit scheme will last until December 31, 2001 for as long as both existing and new subscribers stay on the subscriber list during the period.

“Valentine’s Day and Chinese Spring Festival are traditional times when visits to friends and relatives are made and gifts are exchanged in accordance with custom. Our market research suggests that a CABLE TV subscription would be a meaningful and long-lasting gift,” CABLE TV’s Vice President of Cable Subscription Service, Mr. Eric Lo, said.

He added the special discount is also a means to express gratitude to loyal, long-term CABLE TV subscribers.

All CABLE TV subscribers to its basic package are eligible for the special offer but the referees have to be first-time subscribers.
