Building Owners Urged to Apply Early
for
CABLE TV Connection
CABLE TV today appealed to owners and managers of all
buildings which have not yet been connected to CABLE TV’s network to
receive its full pay television service to contact the cable operator for
wiring before the end of the month should they wish to catch the football
World Cup next year.
A CABLE TV spokesman said as it will usually take at
least several months to complete construction works, building owners and
management companies interested in CABLE TV service are urged to apply for
wiring up their buildings before October 31.
About 1.9 million homes in Hong Kong are already
connected to CABLE TV service. "For one reason or another, there are
still buildings not yet connected to our service and we would like them to
contact us as soon as possible for activation arrangements," the
spokesman said. He added that in some cases, dependent upon the
complexities of the works involved, owners might be requested to fund part
of the project.
Interested parties or tenants can call the CABLE TV
hotline on 1832 888 to make inspection arrangements.
CABLE TV is Hong Kong’s leading pay television
service provider, offering a 31- channel service to about 550,000
subscribers. CABLE TV is operated by i-CABLE Communications Limited which
is Hong Kong’s only fully integrated communications company. The Company

produce its own multi-media contents; and provides pay television and
Internet access services, including Broadband service.
