New i-CABLE Venture Offers Double Benefits to Advertisers
Clients placing advertisements on CABLE TV beginning from next year will have the additional benefits of promoting their products and services in the web following the launch of a new venture by i-CABLE Communications Limited.
This was announced today by i-CABLE's Chief Executive Officer, Mr Stephen Ng, in a ceremony to launch Global Media In Force Limited (GlobalMIF), a new member of the i-CABLE Group.

He further said another important goal for the new venture is to set up an e-Marketing Infrastructure to the benefits of both advertisers and consumers within and without Hong Kong.
The Chief Operating Officer of GlobalMIF, Mr. Samuel Tsang, said the new venture is established to tackle an inherit challenge of television advertising, i.e., the lack of catalogue value. To add further value to advertisers and advertising agents, Mr. Tsang said they have already lined up with a number of Applications Service Providers (ASPs) to offer business applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system should they so require.
Mr. Tsang added that the company will set out to introduce this innovative advertising concept to neighbouring cable operators with the aim of forming a regional network benefiting consumers in this part of the world.
Effective from January 1, 2001, GlobalMIF will also become the exclusive distributor of CABLE TV programmes in Hong Kong and overseas.
